Teide National Park

One of UNESCOs certified world heritage sites, the Teide National Park is home to the third highest active volcano in existence. Mt Teide is a spectacle to behold as its snowy peak is visible from the entirety of the island. Take advantage of your holidays in Tenerife to visit the park and hike around the magnificent lunar like scenery. If you are so inclined you can take the cable car to visit the peak and take pictures of the scenery as well.

Tenerife Auditorium

Designed by the famous architect Santiago Calatrava Valls and situated near the sea in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Tenerife Auditorium resembles of open sails and is an absolute must visit during your holidays in Tenerife! One of the most photographed and distinguishable sights in Tenerife, the Tenerife Auditorium plays host to a multitude of events from orchestral symphonies to the international Latin music awards Cadena Dial. You can also visit the café inside the Auditorium and enjoy the views, in all a worthily praised sight!

Piramides de Güímar

As the name suggests, the Pyramids of Guimar are six lava stone pyramids that date to the 19th century AD. The history surrounding them is varied and well explained by on site tour guides and audio guides. Take the time to visit and marvel as the pyramids are a phenomenal sight and the site is very well maintained and clean.

Santa Iglesia Catedral

Another UNESCO world heritage site, the Santa Iglesia Catedral De La Laguna is a site worthy of its title and a visit during your holidays in Tenerife. A relatively newly built cathedral church (20th century), it surely makes up in size and prestige for its age. Take a stroll around the beautiful surrounding area of San Cristobal De La Laguna, pay a visit and enjoy the rich decorations and if you get lucky you might be able to attend a local wedding or such event and enjoy the cathedral in use!

Basilica de Nuestra Senora de Candelaria

If the road brings you to the picturesque seaside town of Candelaria be sure to visit the Basilica de Nuestra Senora. Located close to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Candelaria is home to a multitude of cathedrals and vivid streets with a magnificent atmosphere full of vendors, bars and restaurants. The aforementioned cathedral church dates back to the 19th century and is full of detailed and well maintained stained glass representations. Its sheer size is a marvel in itself and the interior is very well adorned by elaborately carved wooden benches and decorations.
