Holidays in Spain

Spain is amongst the most visited destinations for family holidays and for good reason! Its endless attractions, friendly spirit, great beaches and amazing weather are all unique. When all that is combined, holidays in Spain make up for one of the best experiences for those looking to pack their things, take their kids and leave their manic way of life back home in order to have some family fun under the sun. However, Spain is a big and varied country so where to is the next question that pops in our head. In order to answer the question, three of the most popular destinations for family holidays in Spain are Benidorm, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura and all of them are unique in their own sense so in this article we look at each one separately in order to make deciding on which one to visit a bit easier.

Benidorm

The all-time favourite of British holidaymakers, coastal Benidorm is a resort town which encompasses anything you might need on your family holidays to Spain and even more. Have a swim and laze on one of its clean, blue flag awarded and children friendly beaches or opt for a more adventurous watersport of your liking. In case you want to escape from family ordeals for a bit and improve your drive, one of the large golf courses around the area will happily accommodate you and your golf buddies or family. Overall, holidays to Benidorm are amongst the best ideas if you want to please the whole family without moving around too much.

Lanzarote

The Canarian island of Lanzarote is home to some of the most spectacular volcanic backdrops and beaches. With a huge variety of beaches to choose from and yearlong sunny weather, holidays in Lanzarote are mainly centered around the sea and related activities without however excluding anything else. Visit one of the numerous waterparks around the island and splash in the pools and rides with your children or enjoy a tour around the stunning seaside villages and resorts dotted throughout the island. If you ever get tired of lying on one of its beaches, you can always visit the Timanfaya natural park and hike or bike along some of Lanzarote’s most characteristic volcanic settings and provide your family with an otherworldly experience.

Fuerteventura

Similar but at the same time different to Lanzarote, Fuerteventura is home to more than 125 miles of beaches throughout its shores to choose from according to your preference. From the endless sand dunes and golden fine sands of Corralejo natural park to the majestic caves and black sands of Ajuy, there certainly is a beach to tickle your fancy. Holidays to Fuerteventura are also the most budget friendly as the wide variety of resorts and available all inclusive packages cater for all wallets and budgets. In all, Fuerteventura is the perfect place to unwind and relax with a great, family weekend break.
